We're making it easier for you to make a difference

Work commitments, looking after the kids, doing the shopping, the cooking, the cleaning...it's a never-ending list and it all takes up your time.

We know how busy you are, which is why we're making it easier for you to be involved with the issues that affect YOU, your FAMILY, your COMMUNITY and where you live.

We need your help so that we know about all the housing issues that are important to you and your community. If you don't tell us about the things that concern you then we may not know how to deal with it.

So, whether it's about security, the state of your estate or need for a children's play area, we want to hear from YOU and your COMMUNITY.

Resident Involvement is very important in helping us to work effectively for you and we're developing the service so that we can hear the views and opinions from EVERYONE in the community.

But why should I bother?

Being involved gives YOU a voice; a direct link to key members of the Poole Housing Partnership Team which can benefit you, your family and your community.

The services we provide are paid for from your rent. Money is always tight and you need to know it is well spent on making things better.

Resident Involvement gives you the opportunity to influence the service that your receive from us, what we do and how money is spent. Would you like to have an influence on how these issues?

The influence that comes with being involved in Resident Involvement gives YOU the chance to make a REAL DIFFERENCE to your neighbourhood.

In fact, there are many reasons why YOU should bother with Resident Involvement, here are just a few:

• Get special funding to improve your block or estate
• Help plan improvements for the design and security of where you live
• Develop a REAL sense of community in your neighbourhood
• Influence the work that Poole Housing Partnership do for you
• Acquire new skills - we offer training courses in I.T., Housing Law, the Benefits System and Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour, plus many more
• All official representatives can be given a personal computer for installation in their home
• The opportunity to progress to membership of the Board and get real experience of running an organisation

If you want your voice to be heard, get involved.

But I don't have time for all that

We understand that it is often difficult to find the time to be as involved in your local community as you would like to be, which is why we offer a number of options for Resident Involvement.

By giving you a choice, you can be involved as much or as little as suits you, your family and your lifestyle. Check out our article entitled 'How You Can Get Involved'.

Hopefully you'll find some way, no matter how big or small, to be involved with us. If you still think that you'll be struggling to get your voice heard, then tell us! We'll try and find a solution so that we can listen to you.
