Bogus Callers

Do not let people into your home if they can't provide appropriate identification.

• All our staff and contractors should present their ID badge on arrival
• If this is not offered, please ask to see their ID
• Check the badge carefully to ensure they are working for Poole Housing Partnership (PHP)
• Even if the visit has been arranged beforehand, ask for ID
• If you are not expecting anyone it's even more important to check their ID and ask why they want to come in
• If you're unhappy with what you have seen, ask them to wait while you call
• the phone number on their card. If they're genuine they will wait
• Inform the police if you're suspicious
